Flight of the River Hawk (2019)

Written for the Brooklyn College Wind Ensemble and performed at Shapeshifter Labs in Brooklyn, NY. Flight of the River Hawk is rhythmically motivated and carries many musical elements from a more cinematic perspective. The ensemble’s unique instrumentation was an enjoyable challenge to write for.

Rustling (2015)

The word "rustle" is defined as "to make a succession of slight, soft sounds, as parts rubbing gently one on another", "to cause such sounds by moving or stirring something", and "to move, proceed, or work energetically". This soundscape for piano and percussion is modeled after this definition and requires three players to balance improvisation and control whilst creating a meditative sequence of events.

Stand (2019)

Written for and inspired by the students of Wilmington High School, Stand begins quietly, in a timid manner, and slowly builds to a full statement, the first of several that occur with each statement growing stronger. Moments of doubt are overcome and the piece quietly fades with a new resolution and message taken to heart.

Mischief (2015)

Mischief is a loose scherzo with lively, angular melodies and dark wind band textures. It follows the form of a large build with elements of suspense and tension that reach a triumphant climax.

Endure (2018)

This short setting for orchestra was performed by the Brooklyn College Conservatory Orchestra at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, NY.
